Managing Raw Items

Creating Raw Items
To start Creation of Raw Items, you must first meet some prerequisites, namely:
- You must have a provider account.
- Your provider account must be assigned a role with the appropriate permissions for creation of Raw Items, including the following:

Once all necessary configurations are in place, you can proceed with the steps below to create a raw item:
- Click on the module labeled “Supply chain”.
- After entering the module, select the option “Raw Items”.
- Click the blue button ”+” to start creating a Raw Item.
- Upon accessing the creation form, you can begin filling out the required fields. These fields are sufficient to correctly create a Raw Item, and they include: Item Type | Accounting Type | Category | Name | Description
Note: Although filling out the optional fields is not mandatory, doing so is important for ensuring that your business benefits from a wider range of essential validations.
- After ensuring that all the required fields have been filled out, simply click the blue button labeled “Create Raw Item”.
Note: Raw Item will only be activated, when you add the Meta Data: Size, Barcode to Size Tracking, Brands and Location. Althoug the following steps are optional, make sure to always include them to ensure the raw item is available to be seen for other parts of the system.
Activating Raw Items
Items have an active/inactive/draft status which can be checked in the status column on the main Raw Items page. If you did the steps above you may continue in the same page:
- After you “Create Raw Item”, you may scroll up and new options will be available.
- Click on the Gears Data tab and open the page.
- Click “Add Raw Item Metadata”, then:
- Select Size in the “Key” field.
- Fill out the following fields and click “Save”:
- “Label”: Enter the item’s name.
- “Qty”: Specify the item’s quantity.
- “Unit of Measure”: Select one preconfigured “Measure”.
- Repeat the process for the following Metadata options:
- Barcode to Size Tracking: Select the “Meta Value” corresponding to the Label from the previous step.
- Locations: Choose one or more preconfigured “Location name” Names.
- Brands: Select one or more preconfigured “Brand”.
- Those fields are sufficient to activate the item. Return to the details tab and click on the green ”✓”
- That’s it! Your item can now be used through the system.
Editing Raw Items
To begin editing a Raw Item, you must first meet the following prerequisites:
- You must have a provider account.
- Your provider account must be assigned a role with the appropriate permissions for editing Raw Items, including the following:

Once all necessary configurations are in place, you can proceed with the steps below to edit a Raw Item:
- Click on the module labeled “Supply chain”.
- After entering the module, select the option “Raw Items”.
- Fill in the Search field with the name of the Raw Item you want to edit.
- Click on the Item you want to edit from the options shown.
- On the bottom of the page, click on the blue button “Make Draft” with a pencil icon.
- Make the desired edition to the data.
- Click on Update Raw Item.
- Click on the green button ”✓” to make it active.
De-activating Raw Items
Note: There are two ways of making raw items unavailable. This method is preferable if you still have the item in stock but you don’t want it acessible in new transactions or workflows. If you wish to make a raw item unavailable to use in the system, follow the steps:
- Click on the module labeled “Supply chain”.
- After entering the module, select the option “Raw Items”.
- Fill in the Search field with the name of the Raw Item you want to edit.
- In the table, locate the Item and scroll to the left. The last column
- Click on the red button “X” to make it inactive.
Deleting Raw Items
Note: Nothing is deleted from the system and everything that is “deleted” is actually a status change. Once an item has been deleted your may recover and change the status back to active. Note: There are two ways to make Raw Items unavailable. This method is preferable when the item has empty stock that will not be replenished, when machinery is damaged, or in cases of errors during item creation
To begin deleting Raw Items, certain prerequisites must be met, as outlined below:
- You must have a provider account.
- Your provider account must be assigned a role with the appropriate permissions for deleting Raw Items, including the following:

- Supply Chain Raw Item Get All / Get Self
- Supply Chain Raw Item Show
- Supply Chain Raw Delete / Delete All
- Supply Chain Raw Update / Update All
- Click on the module labeled “Supply chain”.
- After entering the module, select the option “Raw Items”.
- Fill in the Search field with the name of the Raw Item you want to edit.
- Click on the Item you want to Delete from the options shown.
- Scroll down and click on the “Delete Location” option. The Raw Item will be successfully removed from your list of Raw Items.
Restoting Raw Items
To begin restoring a Location, certain prerequisites must be met, as outlined below:
- You must have a provider account.
- Your provider account must be assigned a role with the appropriate permissions for restoring Raw Items, including the following:

- Supply Chain Raw Item Get All / Get Self
- Supply Chain Raw Item Show
- Supply Chain Raw Restore / Restore All
- Supply Chain Raw Update / Update All
Once all necessary configurations are in place, you can proceed with the steps below to restore a location:
- Click on the module labeled “Supply chain”.
- Select the option “Raw Items”.
- Adjust the “Filter” field to display only deleted locations by selecting the option “Only Trashed”.
- Locate the desired item and click on it from the list
- Upon seeing the yellow card above the form, click on “Restore”.
- That’s it! The Raw Item that was previously deleted has now been restored to your list of active Raw Items and can be used without issue.
